actually, ogre, you jest, but that's one way of getting rid of hair. when my mom was younger, she used to "flash" the hair off her upper lip (which means that she took a lighter to it)...which wasnt, apparently, as weird uncommon way to do it. my step dad, to his credit, made her stop when they got married. so now she just bleaches the hair. so, she's traded fire for chemicals. whee! aint it fun bein' a girl?oh, and randomly, i did two things today that i havent done in awhile: i shaved and i wore a skirt. i must admit that it made me feel much more like a girl than i usually feel. kind of nice. i suppose that there's something about highlighting the differences between boys and girls...i dunno. point is, it felt nice, and it was inspired by this thread. I don't really care about shaving my legs, I do it, but not very often because you can't even tell if the hair is growing long. For pits though, I hate having hair there. I do not care at all on other girls, I don't stare or think it's gross, but for me, it's just better to shave. deodorant would seem sort of blocked by a mass of thick armpits hair. but, no matter how hard I try, I can never ever get smooth there. and there is ALWAYS stubble, and I hate it because my pits always look grey, but I suppose you can't help it (curved shaving surface + flat razor= not a very good shave or lots of bloody pain). and I am way to nervous with a razor down there, I only do it for the purpose of wearing a swimsuit (I don't have a boy to impress). uh... yeah. for guys, whatever. but I take stubble is not good. my dad has a beard, and you always go for guys that model after your father, right? so facial hair is a-ok with me. I am a shaving fiend. Really, a fiend. I shave my legs, arpits, and bikini area (all of it, started about 3 years ago, long story,) almost every day in the summer and every other day in the winter. I'm a swimmer, and it just feels gross to me to feel the hair on my legs moving around when I swim. The only time I really gave shaving up was when I was a camp counselor. I didn't shave nearly all summer, and it did eventually get long enough to not irritate me, but it still felt icky to me. I only did that because of the lack of water and showers. Some of the other counselors shaved in the sink, but the water is ice cold snowmelt, and bad enough for washing your face in.So that's my shaving story. On women I like no hair, with the bikini area at least trimmed. On men, I dunno, I'm not much for facial hair, but chest hair and stuff is OK, I guess. ------------------ And before you get all happy, be informed that your punishment does not include pain or sex IP: Logged |

...it probably wouldn't be right for me to inform all that, speaking for myself, I'm perfectly game for long stories about bikini areas, would it?No. I'd better not. ^_^ IP: Logged |

Jesse- rotfl! Seriously, though. It wouldn't do to subject the rest of the posters to that, and I don't know that I'm into revealing that much information about my sordid past. I'll give you some minor details though, two other people and a tent in the woods. The rest of that story I leave to your imagination. ------------------ And before you get all happy, be informed that your punishment does not include pain or sex [edited because I evidently have issues with homophones]

I dunno ... I certainly wouldn't mind photos of the event ...BTW, for all you private-parts-shavers out there: I forgot to mention that a male friend of mine keeps himself shaved smooth, and he uses Astroglide lubricant to get a really close, non-irritating shave. He says it's the best thing he's ever used. I know you're all thrilled that I've shared. (~.~) ~~~~~~~~ Jeanine IP: Logged |

well I'd like to shave just to keep everything well trimmed. Goodness knows, I'm growing a forest all over my body as it is.Which leads me to a question. Is there any easy way to remove body hair? IP: Logged |

Several. Most of them aren't picky about what else they remove, though. I suppose you want to be persnickety about this.

Lemme tell you what a fantastic friend I am. I regularly used to Nair my best friend Robert's back for him.It actually worked really well and was remarkably gentle. But oh my GOD you would not believe what that washcloth looked like afterward.... IP: Logged |

*shudders at maryann's comment*lessee. shaving. i shave everything but a tiny patch of "bikini" hair (ooh, look at me be pc and tactful.) it's mostly an 'i like it' thing. guys have never seemed to care either way.. i never liked facial hair on guys until i got with justin.. he's got a little goatee dealie, and i think it's adorable. it's long enough to be fuzzy and not prickly. however, when he doesn't shave the rest of his face for a few days, he does get prickly, and then kissing is not as fun. i'm weird about hair on guys. leg hair and underarm hair are oddly sexy, but chest hair is icky to me. *shrugs* ------------------ how punk is THAT?! +- home - comic - visual - aim: pixelfaerie -+

Being that I am still amidst many guys who have yet to gain the ability to grow facial hair, I can see that it affects my views on what I find attractive on guys. I have one friend (who is actually older than me by like 3 or 4 years, but anyways) who, at least last I saw him, still had his adorable soy sauce mustache. You know what I mean. There's enough hair to be visible, but not to look like a mustache. I don't know... it's weird, and I've never heard of anyone else liking that, but I think it's awfully sexy. Though that might just be because he has one and he is awfully sexy. Mmmmm... I miss him... I shave like once a week because otherwise if I skip for a while my legs get itchy (no, not when I shave, and not when stubbly, when the hair is grown back in... I'm weird ). I also shave my armpits put that hurts every time. Wah. As for any more information than that, you're all in luck. I'm not going to make a good portion of you feel oddly like pedophiles, because I don't shave there. Hee. And it's not really because of appearance for me... I wear pants even in California summers. I wore pants in LA for 3 weeks last summer. I'm craz-ee! ^_^ And now I need to sleep! Yipes!! - PS IP: Logged |

I have to shave my legs at least every other day. When my pal Trev tried to grow a beard, I teased him that my leg hair grows faster than his facial hair. He didn't like that, but it doesn't stop it from being true. ------------------ Fast and Bulbous! That's right, The Mascara Snake, fast and bulbous. Also, a tin teardrop. Bulbous, also tapered. That's right.

you're not weird, ps, my legs itch when the hair is growing back in too. i think that's what keeps me shaving. although, my female friends who have abandoned the practice tell me that the itchy feeling eventually goes away. bleh. im too impatient to wait.*looks at ismaryann's post* *shudders at the idea of removing someone else's body hair.* bleh. mew.

I'm sorry... I have to ask this... When using the depilatory miracle touted to be Magic Shaving Powder, does one get the stubble regrowth or a nicer, less Sharkskin Fishhook Stubble (tm) regrowth?Ahem. :blushes: IP: Logged | |
