Woo hoo! Williamsburg! That's where my sister lives-- coolio! I shall either get her to pick me up some, or I'll get my flabby white ass out there myself. It'll be an excuse to finally go see my sister's apt. anyway...

On IsMaryAnn's recommendation, I bought some Cafe Bustelo last night and some actual real cream to go in it. I will post the results as soon as I can drag myself to the kitchen with enough energy left over to use the french press.

The title of this thread reminds me of the Garfield Halloween special where Garfield is sneaking around with his blanket over his head and going:

*returns bear hugs to Owlet and GA*

Always the sporadic poster, I have been lazy for a while... but I lurk from time to time. And it's always fun to come back and rediscover the intricate workings of that true insanity which we call The Board.

Ohhh yeah, and to stay on topic, COFFEE!!! I LIVE for coffee!!! Um, as if you all didn't know that.

...yeah.

I'm off to visit Brunchma's now.

Owlet:

blood...orange...sorbet....???!!???

*wipes up puddles of drool from the keyboard*

must...get...to...Brooklyn....

meggers: Let me know how it goes with the Bustelo! *grin* I made some myself this morning due to the power of my own suggestion. It's very strong and I've only hit the perfect ratio a few times, but it is orgasmic when it's perfect. Also, if you use milk, heat up the milk first in the mug and then pour the coffee in. For some reason the flavor is smoother and yummier that way.

The problem with caffeine for me is that I experience severe withdrawal if I don't have any for 24 hours or so.

I last had coffee on Friday night, so right now I am in the midst of nursing a mothertrucking migraine. Which not only sucks on its own, but in order to combat it, I must take painkillers and have a lot of caffeine. So I've eaten about 20 Penguin mints, which are the best source of caffeine for folks who can't have coffee, and the head hurt still isn't going away. But now I'm hyper and I have pinball thoughts (e.g. thoughts zooming around inside my head bashing into things and whatnot) and I really gotta go DO SOMETHING but I can't because right now I need to be in a dark room clutching my head and moaning and in some kind of fetal position.

Migraines suck, kids. Drink your coffee.

I rarely make coffee at home. I love it, but it's too much of a pain to deal with on weekdays. When I bought the Bustelo, I honestly thought, "Okay, this will be in my pantry for the next year. I'll end up drinking one pot of it, and then forget about it and have to throw it out when it gets too old." That said, I would like to share that I drank an entire pot of the Bustelo yesterday morning, in the span of an hour, and did the same again this morning.

I fear I am now a daily coffee drinker. Two teaspoons of sugar and a plop of cream.

*Homer drool* Ggglglglggaaaaaaaghh, daaarrrrk rooaaast.

I have discovered a new coffee (new for me, that is)...it is the Café Verona roast from Starbucks. It's mellow, rich, and not too bitter, and it ends with caramel aftertaste. I thought I'd tried it before, but I think it was brewed badly, because it was nothing like this. I want more. Any good coffee should make you think up excuses to drink more.

I'm excited to have another addicting coffee to alternate with the Guatemala. I love the Guatemala, but it gets boring just drinking the one kind.

Good for you meg! Heh heh heh...

I agree on the Cafe Verona Clickie. In fact its about the only Starbucks coffee I like, maybe its just the Starbucks in NYC, but every damn cup tastes like its BURNT. But the Cafe Verona is luverly.

And yes Kailet, the sig is "Good Omens" *grin*. Jack finally tied me down and got me to read it*. It won me with that line.

*Or was it that I wanted him to tie me down to read it? Hmmm........

I ate 45 chocolate covered coffee beans.

then,

I drank some chocolate milk.

That I had left out on the table

Over night

Under a lamp

It was warm.

And expired.

and chucky,

sort of.

So I was then hyper-nauseous
