Red: "Red's a fruit?" I can't remember what flavour this is, but it's ok. Nothing special either. It's just there because of it's colour, methinks. C because you can't have multi-fruit candy without a red variety.

Lemon I've got a love-hate relationship with this flavour. Sometimes it's almost my favourite, sometimes I can't stand the tangy lemonosity. Strangely, there always seems to be more lemon ones than any of the other flavours. Perhaps they're cheaper to make, since all you need is some washing detergent. (Contains real lemons!)B+ for pure quantity.

Grape These were my very faves in Australia, until they replaced them with blackcrappant. (See below) But now that I've moved to the USA, I can once again enjoy the grape ones in all their purple glory. A+

Blackcurrant What the hell were Skittles's Australian market department thinking? For some daft reason they decided to replace grape with Blackcurrant in Aussie Skittles packets. I mean no disrespect to those folks who depend on blackcurrant farming for a living, but I HATE THIS SHIT! I want my bloody grape Skittles!!! D- Because I'm gonna have to horde American Skittles packets when I move back home, just to get my fix of artificial grapey goodness.

Lime The perfect compliment to lemon. Not only is lemon & lime a natural combination, but the green and yellow colours inflames my sense of patriotism. "Hey, I'm eating candy! And I'm proud to be Australian!" A for Aussie.

Green Apple Who is running Skittles corporation's marketing department? First they try to force Blackcrappant on me, and now this poor imitation of a Skittle? apple just doesn't belong, it just doesn't fit the whole Skittles vibe, man. Who's ever heard of Lemon & Green Apple together? Not me, that's for sure. D because I like lemon & lime much better.

Orange Orange is the ketchup of the candy world. It goes with everything, and is everywhere you look. Thus, I have no complaints or applause for this bog-standard, also-ran veteran of a flavour. C because... *Yawn*

I eat skittles in order from yuckiest to yummiest (so as to have something to look forward to, and end on a high note): lime - lemon - orange - red - grape. Blackcurrant would come between orange and red because, while it's a decent flavour, they should have eliminated a crummy citrus to add it to the combination, rather than eliminating the best flavour.

I'm with you on this Acsu, but the grape come before the red, which is allegedly strawberry. (Old advert used to go "strawberry, orange ,lemon & lime flavours" but no mention of the purple, & it doesn't say on our packaging.)

Mint skittles - still undecided on these, the toffee mint & sweet mint taste exactly the same, and I hate spearmint with a vengeance usually saved for high school French teachers. But they come in a box! B for percussion value

And I haven't got my hot & sweaty hands on the new sour flavours yet.

mint skittles are the work of Satan.

Sour Skittles are our reward for havig to put up with mint skittles. They are too nice for their own good.

I must say that I really can't stand "tropical" skittles. And frankly one bad skittle can ruin the whole barrel... or something like that.

Kiwi Lime Got nothing against it

Tangerine Tastes like what orange rind candy would be, still not horrible

Strawberry Watermelon I question just how "tropical" these 2 fruits are unless you concider Alabama tropical they just don't work for me, again not bad though

Passion Punch Ehhhh...

And finally the coup de la god awful candy...
Banana Wait! OH GOD... YOUR NOT LEMON AT ALL!!!! HIDEOUS VILE CONTEMTIOUS DEMON CANDY WHICH WAS BORN IN THE WOMB OF DELTA BURKE WHO WAS IMPREGNATED BY SATAN'S EVILER HALF-BROTHER, RUTEGER!!!!

Granted I am sure there are plenty of you out there who will disagree with me. Sadly you are all horribly wrong. I know exactly why I hate banana but just because I can trace back why I hate it doesn't mean it is any better, it just cuts down the time I have to spend in therapy over it.

I was what some may call a "wild" child. I had ADD (or ADHD or whatever the fuck they are calling it this week) and took cylert as a child. I don't know if anyone can relate to this but cylert tastes not completely unlike a piece of banana flavored sidewalk chalk. Not pleasant. Not pleasant at all. Then the cylert gave me liver damage and I had to stop taking it.

I've observed that everybody is on one side of the skittles spectrum or the other. Either you like Orange Lemon and Lime, or you like Strawberry and Grape. I'm not just talking about the posts here. I mean everybody. I myself am a citrus spectrum man. LemonLime for me is just a single flavor that's twice as abundant as the others.

Therefore, the Green Apple thing throws off the whole LemonLime thing, and that just pisses me off. It fits in with a bag of skittles about as well as blue m&m's go with the other earthy colors. I'd go as far as to say Green Apple is as bad as Scrappy Doo. F!!!

Unfuckingfortunately, Lime is losing at http://www.skittles.com . I guess most people think that Lime is to close to Lemon to deserve its own flavor. Thankfully, http://starburst.com has Lemon in the lead. But damn those bastards! Why can't they just spawn off a new skittles variety and let us oldschoolers be.

The whole green apple thing happened right when I got a weird craving for starburst too. DAMNIT! I've been boycotting the fuckers ever since. I encourage you to do the same.

I like them all, except grape. I don't like anything grape flavored.

The reds and oranges are my favorites though. That holds true for nearly every variety of flavored candy.

I don't like anything strawberry flavoured, that doesn't mean I don't like strawberries, I just don't like artificial straberry sugary junk.

In any kind of candy, fruit snacks, whatever the citrus are always my favorite, and then I eat the rest, usually throwing away or giving away anything red or blue. The exception to this being gummy bears, I LOVE the white flavour, it's my favorite, then lemom, lime, and orange.

Green Apple disrupts the whole trinity of citrus flavors: orange, lemon, and lime. Grrr. And does anybody but me ever put half a bag in my mouth at once, and see how long it takes for them to all disolve?

Yes Dom, that's just you. I put one in my mouth, don't chew & wait for the "S" to dissolve, which it doesn't do until the rest of the colour has come off & died your tongue whatever colour you're eating.

I have to disagree...Orange is my favorite flavor candy wise. Grape and orange are the best of anything:

Popsicles, skittles, starburst(I dunno if they have grapde starbursts though) gummy bears, waterice, those fruity chewy candies in the pouches usually Acme brand is the best...anything grape and orange always tastes good.

I don't like anything cherry flavored (except Cherries). Not even lipgloss persuades me. Cherry is kind of like strawberry but not as good and no candy can ever replicate the taste of a Cherry - EVER! Cherry flavored < insert candy here > tastes like medecine. Or maybe it's just me cos of years of taking cherry flavored NyQuil.

I love white gummy bears. And strawberry and orange Starbursts hard candy. And every skittles flavour but grape. I hate grape flavoured anything. Grapes themselves are just too good, and the purple "grape" flavour has nothing whatsoever to do with real grapes! I used to have a purple cough medicine. I think it worked because I always gagged, spat it out, and then had to lie down not talking for half an hour. I hate that taste...

I love "artificial cherry flavor"! It's probably one of my most favorite candy flavors of all. Actual cherries, on the other hand... well, except in cherry pie.

I'm a sugar fiend.

*performs her duties as "topic killer" *

Has anyone else noticed that the candy filling inside skittles is exactly the same as the candy in Starburst? Or is that just me.......

Lemon are my favorite, btw...

It is very similar. The stuff in Starburst is a bit smoother-textured, though.

However, the coolest thing you can do with Skittles is to drop a bag from a reasonably large height (or throw them against the floor pretty hard). They fragment! It's pretty cool to have a bunch of chewy centers fragment neatly into chunks. I don't know why I find that so very entertaining, but I do.

Actually, I'm with Dom. I love sticking a whole bag of skittles in my mouth. Skittles are the best candy ever for playing games.

Skittles Wars: place a pair of skittles between your thumb and index fingers, and squeeze until one of them cracks and is dented with a good size crater. Nine times out of ten, only one will be ruined. Eat it. The other one is the winner. Now it gets to compete again. If a skittle can survive the entire bag this way... I would be unwilling to eat it. I had that happen once. I threw the damn thing away.

Skittles Mosaic: This one is pretty self-explainatory, but suffers from the lack of eating. Take a picture when you're done. That way you get delayed gratification rather than none. And you can prove to your friends that you're crazy.

Skittles Fight: Oddly enough I didn't discover the joy of a skittles fight until high school. I guess I just wouldn't have been willing to waste them before that. Still, it's funny.

There was a particularly boring patch of work back in 1999 where I'd buy a bag of Skittles every day in the vending machine and kept careful track of the color counts. I still have the data somewhere around here but I have absolutely no idea what I could do with it. Statistics majors? You out there?
